Limited edition of The Brand Operating System available ahead of July publication

Syracuse, N.Y. — Oberfeld Press has opened pre-orders for its first title, The Brand Operating System: The Architecture of Trust, Authority, and Growth by Marc V. Stress. The pre-order is available through the author's website at https://okmarc.com/preorder.

Pre-order copies are offered at an introductory price of $19.99, 33% off the retail cover price of $29.99. The edition is limited to 200 copies, of which 100 will be numbered and signed by the author. Signed copies are assigned in order of purchase. The pre-order window closes at publication on July 15, 2026.

The Brand Operating System argues that brand functions as operating infrastructure rather than a marketing expense — a system that compounds authority over time rather than a set of campaigns that depreciate after each cycle. Drawing on systems thinking, communication theory, and more than 25 years of practice, Stress presents a framework for building brands that generate durable returns.

"This is the work the imprint is making its foundation on. These works that intersect design, business, and creativity are precisely what we were designed to publish." said the spokesperson for Oberfeld Press. "It represents the kind of rigorous, practitioner-informed thinking we intend to be known for."

Author Marc V. Stress is a Professor at Syracuse University's School of Design and a Fractional Chief Brand Officer through his consultancy OK MARC. The Brand Operating System is his first book.

The title will be available through Ingram at publication for trade and institutional orders, and via Amazon. Ebook will be forthcoming later in 2026.
